Mollii therapy

The Molli suit is a special medical device that incorporates 58 electrodes. The suit is programmed individually for each person to adjust the active electrodes and their intensity for each patient. With the help of the suit, it is possible to both reduce muscle spasticity and release them, and activate muscles to regain control over movements and delay muscle atrophy.

The Mollii suit is designed to reduce muscle spasticity, muscle tension and associated pain in patients with cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, patients after a stroke, spinal or brain injuries or other neurological movement disorders.

Since 2021, the therapy has been available to young patients of the Rehabilitation Center POGA free of charge with the support of the Boris and Ināra Teterev Foundation.

To start therapy with the Mollii suit, it is necessary to apply to the POGA center for a consultation with a physiotherapist, who will assess whether there are any restrictions on the use of the suit. If the therapist prescribes Mollii therapy for the patient, then the patient will be assigned a session with the therapist, who will perform individual programming of the Mollii suit for the patient. The duration of the first session is 90 minutes, during which the suit is programmed, as well as training the patient or the patient's representative in the individual use of the suit. The duration of subsequent sessions is 60 minutes, and the therapeutic effect lasts up to 49 hours. That is, for the best effect, the suit should be used every other day.

Therapy costs for other patients:

  • Mollii suit programming (first lesson), 90 min: 90 EUR
  • Mollii suit programming correction (if necessary), 30 min: 25 EUR
  • Mollii lesson at the POGA center, 50 minutes: 50 EUR
  • Mollii suit use at home (1 day): 15 EUR
